The open adoption directory project is a web site dedicated to helping birthfamiles and adoptive families come together through Internet Outreach. Our goal is to become the largest open adoption directory by providing a free link to prospective open adoptive families and their internet profiles. (see criteria below).

The Open Adoption Directory Project is a free link exchange for families seeking to adopt through open adoption.

The open adoption directory project provides a free link to all families signed up with the open adoption agencies and professionals listed below. You will find our families represent all eligible family types, traditional, single parenting, gay and lesbian families who are listed with lisenced open adoption professionals.

All families have had a homestudy completed by the proper licensed authorities, however it is crucial for your safety that you directly contact the agency or professional that the family is signed up with to verify that the prospective adoptive family that you are interested in is still being represented by that adoption professional/agency and to verify that their homestudy is current and up to date.

Birth families need to keep in mind that the Open Adoption Directory Project is only a meeting place for birthfamilies and prospective adoptive families. We are not adoption professionals.

The Internet is an incredible research and support tool for your adoption journey, but good judgement and the use of your adoption professional is essential to a safe and secure adoption.
